Replacing smartside siding - windows?

For a rental MH: Should I remove the windows with nailing fins to reattach to the new siding, or just side over them and worry about it if I have to replace a window later?

Definitely pull and reset the windows. Scrape off the old putty and clean the back of the nail fin. Install to new siding with butyl putty tape on aluminum frames and a good vinyl window tube sealant for vinyl windows. You need to pull the window anyways to get the old siding off. You are replacing and not just covering the old siding, right?
