I have a Evcon/Cooleman 7900c furnace that originally came from a mobile home. It is currently installed in my garage. the gas is shut off when I am not in the garage. It's kind of a pain to get the thing lit. Is there a way or does anyone know if one can install an electric ignitor on it to light the pilot? I was thinking a battery powered grill ignitor.

Is there a universal ignitor that can be installed in the unit to achieve this?

Thanks!

What is the problem with lighting the pilot ? Hard to get to, doesn't want to light, won't stay lit,etc.... ?

You can get and add ignitors, but it is costly and not something I advise on for DIY over the net.

Thanks,
Robert
