Hi All,
I am hoping someone has some suggestions as to why my 1994 natural gas furnace cuts in and out when I have it at a lower temperature setting overnight. I usually set the thermostat at just below 60 degrees, and I always have to get up and turn the darn thing right off, as it cycles at these lower temps. No problem when I move the setting up to between 67 and 70. I have replaced the relays and that did not solve the mystery. Plus, the furnace gets it's yearly maintenance from a professional, and even he cannot come up with a solution. Anyone else have these kind of issues? any thoughts as to what may be the problem? Any help will be appreciated.
Gas Furnace cuts in and out at lower temperature settings
Hi,
Hard to say without being there to test it. I can say that cooler in home temps do play havoc on a lot of furnaces .
I would have it thoroughly tested and if nothing found, either set t-stat higher or maybe call the manufacturer for info on it.
Thanks,
Robert

Can you set the temperature swing on the t-stat?
