Has anyone tried one of those a/c units that just sits in a room and doesn't have to be mounted in a window?
What do you think of them and are they really just as good or better than a window a/c? This from a lady who likes to live at 58* all the time.
Thanks

Hi,

I have never tried them, looked at them or serviced one, so can't be of any help.

Have been sorta interested in them though, so if you try them, let us know if you like it.

Thanks,
Robert

My sister has one in a stick-built and is happy with it.

The only drawback I could see was they had to keep it near a window to connect the flexible pipes out through.

It creates a lot of moisture that has to be looked after. As far as I know she can use it to water her plants.
