Best way to remove caulk??

What's the best way to remove old caulk from shower stall?? Don't want to damage plastic..

What kind should I put back??

You could try a heat gun & plastic scraper. If it is Silicone caulk you may be able to just rub it to remove it. I only use 100% silicone caulk in the showers.

It's hard as a rock....I think some is original from the factory....In '95....
