I've run across 2 mobile homes already where the plumbing connections got loose when the home was moved. What happened was the connections to the piping got loose and water spilled underneath the sinks and onto the floors.

Is this normally what happens when moving a mobile home - the connections get loose? Or, does it only happen with homes with the gray pipe?

Thanks for your help!

Despite the name Mobile Home... they are not meant to be mobile. You buy them, install at the location and they need to stay there.
It is NOT uncommon for piping to wiggle loose. Many places stopped using the grey pvc. They use white pvc that says SCHEDULE 40 (SCHD 40) on the side.
That is what our water company recommends.

Are talking about the supply lines or the waste lines? the supply lines should be able to handle some vibration from the road unless they have been changed by a homeowner. the wast lines may come loose. It is always best to check them before turning the water on and again after. Greg
