I recently added a large aquarium to my 2001 mobile home about a year ago. 75 gallons so about 1000 pounds with everything included. Just in the last couple of months my floor in the kitchen started squeaking quite bad. Now I know an un-level home can cause the floors to squeak but do you think the aquarium is causing this to happen? I did have the home leveled last year and I do not have any extra support under the aquarium which is on an outside wall. Any suggestions?

Hi Zinger

Skeeky floors is a pretty common problem.

I don't think the aquarium is causing the sqeeky floor.

Here's a link to some ideas to try:

When I was helping install mobile homes ( I was not the boss, I was the guy in the mud under the house)...

We were taught to also put a pier on either side of every exerior door, a pier under fireplaces, bookcases, and bay windows.

So I would feel better if you had some support under the fish tank. The pier could have a board on top to help distribute the weight. You should probably have two piers under the fish tank.
Call Dinwiddie Demolition we'll tear that house right down.
