Our mobile home had a new asphalt roof put on over the original trailer and the additions. The kitchen is the only area that has a very low ceiling. It is paneling then the metal roof - the the "attic" and the new roof.

Any "easy ish" ideas on how to raise this ceiling? or at least make it appear taller somehow?

I would pulling a ceiling light down to get a look at what is actually above the ceiling to work with. You may find that you are stuck with what you have. You could pull the paneling and hang thin sheetrock to give you a more modern look.

An idea we had that worked well for a lightweight ceiling was vinyl siding. Lots of choices.
