Been following for awhile. Has anyone used tile on walls around tub instead of a tub surround.
We will be replacing the walls as tub is coming out and being replaced..

Unless your home is set up on a below the frostline foundation, it is not recommended. When the ground freezes it can and usually does move the home enough that the tile would pop.

I have - use the right backer, no problems yet. But it don't get that cold here
