RE: Best way to balance a ceiling fan so it doesn't wobble

Using A penny would save me a trip to the store.

As to the support bar, the fans have ball joint gimble mounts so just the blade and motor swing and not the mount to the ceiling.

The mystery drain was from the pan on the bottom under the condenser fan. Looking from the top, down through the grill ,you can see packed leaves on the bottom, covering the drain opening. Since it has been drought conditions for so long here in SC water never collected in the pan. This unit works s...

Best way to balance a ceiling fan so it doesn't wobble

I thought of taping a penny onto it.
Should it be taken down and held horizontally like balancing a tire?
Or, take off each bladed and weight each one?

RE: moulding gaps

I had this trouble too. I used interior latex caulk EVERYWHERE I saw a joint. I'm on my 4th tube, but so far anywhere you look everything looks like is is one piece instead of one piece partially connected to another. It is slightly elastic and completely paintable. Remember to wet a finger and smoo...

The subject line was the Model and Number,
Goodman #PCK 036-1F

Good idea to pull the panels. I enjoy taking things apart as long as I remember to put ALL the parts back.
Thanks.

Our system is operating fine, but since there was no manual included when we bought the house I was wondering; There are 2 PVC pipes coming out of the side of the unit. They both are in a P trap configuration. One has water in it when the A/C is running, but the other has nothing coming out and ther...

RE: Heat bending vinyl?

I've been in Fresno in the summer. I will try to see if everything is lined up. I will be replacing all the skirting so I just start at the F riail and work my way up. The F rail in some places has been moved by shifting ground over 20 years. Here near the ocean [5 miles away] it is more sand then d...

RE: Backsplash idea

i used a Brass Kick Plate that you use on the bottom of a door. It is 34x9, so it just fit in back of the sink. Only there to protect the wall from water splaching. Looks real Mod.

RE: No exterior underlayment?

After seeing what all would be needed to add Tyvek, sheathing, reinstall all the windows and probably all the insulation, I think we will wait. We would never get our money out of it if we tried to sell it. We will just paint it. Once I open this can of worms there is no telling what I might find. I...

Mysterious cell phone order

This is one for the books and I'll try to put things in order as briefly as possible. May 2007. Received Discover card bill. Shows a $500.00 cellphone purchase made by me on April 12. Delivery made to our OLD mail forwarding address in SD April 13. A month ago all this happened, but I NEVER ORDERED ...

RE: MH Homeowners insurance?

Here in SC we tried for insurance and the best we were offered was $1000/yr for $12500 of insurance, but it doesn't cover weather related damage. Only fire and rogue alligator attack. We call it a disposable house. Just trough it away and find another. Some people have had their insurance jump 300%....

RE: vinyl siding-stud bleed through?

Thank you so very much. I think I am pretty smart some days, but at 66 I think I'm on a dumb curve.

This forum is the best thing since sliced white bread.
My mind says, yeah, lets reclad the whole house the right way, but my body says NOT.
