Wow, what a deal! I love the fancy "scrolled" look to the outside of it. I'm also curious how much it cost to move - where you located? LOL, know what you mean about living in
it while working on it - we're there! Great photos - good luck!

Re: Cheapest house in town, My house.
I'm soooo jealous of the new windows~ our old metal leakers are just dripping from the difference in outside to inside temps right now. Hopefully, within the next few years we
can replace them. Meanwhile, we live in the winter with plastic window coverings. Great photos, great progress.

Re: Anyone got one of these?
Apparently not~ Well, when we ever get the money saved, I'll be sure to post photos and let you all know how it does. Yes, it's terribly expensive, but you can burn just about anything and get complete burn, so that's a big money-saver consideration. Propane and Kero are what we burn right now...

Anyone got one of these?
Well, we're saving up for one of these, as the company just got it's EPA certification and is UL listed as well. It's a pricey stove, but weighs only between 55 and 65lbs., has an oven attachment that can be added easily to the top, and has two different capacity attachments that produce electricity...

Re: Major floor issues, need options
Hi and welcome, Your pictures look like what I see when I crawl under OUR place  We're doing a room at a time - all started more intensely when we discovered the floor under our toilet was rotted (and our sink, and our bed, and our windows and door, etc.) If money is an issue, be sure to spend ...

Re: Roof caving in (72' single wide)
Hang in there, girl! If it were me, and I didn't have any overhang to prop things under to support the roof weight, I'd be busy for the next couple of days taking off the current roof and getting some tarps! At least it's not winter yet, right?

Re: Kitchen sink dilemma
Hey Robin, You might want to look at things not traditionally used as kitchen sinks as well. Some of the coolest remodels I've seen have used non-traditional materials and/or objects that the owner just loved or already had. I love the farmhouse sink look and someday I plan on using some sort of tro...

Re: Pipes blew up, pex question
Hi hhb, Just wanted to second the thought of running your pipes up inside your place and covering them with openable homemade "baseboard". We plan on doing this after we get through our current fiasco caused by our old toilet leaking quietly for a year (or more),so I can relate to the sogg...

Melissa (did I get your name right?), Just have to tell you that you (and your handy family) are the reason I even attempt anything around our place. I keep thinking "if DCDiva can do it, I can too!" Love your albums of the before, during and after - great job! I like to tell people about ...

Re: Oh cr*p, toilet problems!
toiletflange3.jpg toiletflange1.jpg toiletflange2.jpg OK, I'm back. We opened up the floor today after getting our flooring this morning so I could put it down before the toilet. We didn't get that far. The whole thing was incredibly cobbled together with bits and pieces of this and that. I can't p...

Re: Leveling a MH on concrete block perimeter [pictures]
Oh yeah, I can see that you do have the width-wise joists now. Darn it, misery loves company, but I can't find any :) As to the leveling question, I would say that leveling would likely crack that stucco, and probably an incorrect setup due to that. And because of all that, I'd definitely lean towar...
