RE: Mixing the original wall board and sheetrock
It has a swirly pattern on it. Pretty sure we won't have it all matching except for the paint color but that is o.k.

Mixing the original wall board and sheetrock
Our mobile home has the standard vinyl covered wall board on the inside. Some of these need to be replaced and we were wanting to use sheetrock. Is there are way to make the vinyl wall board and sheetrock go together and not look terrible. Is there a certain size of sheetrock that i need to get so t...

water heater questions
my mobile home was a foreclosure and did not come with a water heater in it. So, i have a couple of questions. The home is electric. Is 30 gallons basically the only size available in electric? We found an electric 30 gallon mobile home one at home depot but they only had the 30 gallon. Isn't a wate...

bathroom remodel
well, i finally got in the corner garden tub to check to see is it would work and it is a no go. Guess they built them for short people. So, it has to go. We want a tub/shower combo but a normal (non-mobile home size) tub and shower. So, my question is how dfficult/how expensive would it be to add t...

I am most likely going to purchase a completely outside a/c/heater unit. I want to go ahead and put in a thermostat before i purchase the thermostat. Does it matter which kind of thermostat i purchase or do i have to get one that matches up with the unit? Can i go to home depot and and just purchase...

RE: Differences between packaged heat pump & packaged un
Sounds good but we are not going to be able to have an outside unit due to the copper in the unit. We have our mh broken into the other day and the intotherm unit was stolen(we aren't living on the property yet cause not electric, sewer, etc. on the raw land). So, no way we will have one just sittin...

cutting a steel door
I saw the instructions on here for CUTTING DOWN A STANDARD SIZE DOOR but have the dumb question of can i only cut down a wood door? It didn't say anything about steel doors and the door in the article looked like wood. I would really like to have a steel door.

RE: gfci outlet question
ok, i guess no one knows. All the ones in the kitchen say gfci protected outlet with a yellow sticker on them. In my stick built home all kitchen ones say this and there is only one with a test/reset button that trips all the others. I was just trying to figure out if the mobile home was the same wa...

RE: gfci outlet question
Ok, but still wondering if only stick built homes have the reset button on one of the gfci outlets. I don't see a reset button on any of the gfci outlets anywhere in the mobile home.

gfci outlet question
Is a mobile home kitchen supposed to have a gfci outlet that trips all the others in the kitchen? Our double wide is only missing one gfci outlet in the kitchen and we are trying to figure out if this is the one that trips all the others or if a mobile home doesn't have one that trips everything in ...

RE: siding
We have decided to reside the entire front of our double wide and save the good pieces for the other 3 sides. Just wondering. If i put smartside on only the front of the double wide will it cause the marriage bolts to come apart or the front of the home to sag from the weight? We can't seem to find ...

What is the plastic piece that goes inside window frame
If i replace the exterior windows with new glass there is a plastic piece that goes inside the aluminum part of the window frame? Does anyone know what it is called(gasket, etc.) and where is can get more of it? It looks like the glass piece rested on it instead of being caulked/puttied in.
