Re: removing without hurting?

Test your steady hand with a dry paintbrush first. It's not too hard to follow the lines freehand if you concentrate. Small imperfections will not be seen. If you're not happy with that I'd use the blue painters tape and press the edges well. That should help a ton. But, if that still isn't good eno...

Re: removing without hurting?

Why remove the molding if you're gonna paint both? I'd just paint them in place. Use a steady hand or tape off if needed.

Re: Tub faucet repair

I respectfully dsagree. You can remove the plastic handles and then you should be able to remove the cartridges under the handle that control the water and simply replace those. Of course shut off the water and drain the residual pressure then attempt this. If you damage anything then replace the wh...

Re: Removing and patching no-longer-used roof vent

I would cap the ouside end with a galvanized metal cap and use self tappers/sealant if it needed to be closed off. Then check the vent's "boot" while up there and repair/ patch as needed with proper roof tar patch. Then insulate and or close the opening from below. Then when I replaced the...

Re: Doublewide back door sticking

Thanks for the replies, guys. I've decided I'm not gonna lose sleep over it and see what happens come spring/summer with the cracks after the ground thaws. We must have the nice in ground, below the frost line, foundation/piers/supports. Just a slab with concrete support blocks I guess. Hopefully th...

Re: Doublewide back door sticking

Thanks everyone for the responses. I should have been clearer about this, but our dw is on a permanent foundation with concrete blocks along the perimeter with block supports on the concrete pad underneath. I'm sure some settling has occurred, as i can see some settlement cracks, but this foundation...

Doublewide back door sticking

Our back door is sticking. I'm sure it's because of the temps outside and ground movement. I replaced the blocks under that joist span last spring. I can open it but gotta lift up. Some new kitchen floor areas are not as smooth either. The subfloor has moved a little bit. Is this ok? I know there ar...

Re: Final Attempt at Finding a Solution!

I also slowed the blower speed down and it still done it. I did notice that the btu rating on the furnace is higher than the max allowed on the data plate of the home. based on the data plate info and your unit I would guess the cfm and btu are not helping the situation. Verify your fresh air, exha...
