General Heating / Air Circulation Question
I live in a manufactured home that has a Coleman Electric Furnace / Heat Pump installed. This question is brought about by the extremely cold weather (7 degrees) we are now experiencing.. When the furnace is running (either using heat pump alone or sometimes along with 2 stage electric), I have noti...

RE: Facia Caulking - tried everything
The facia is dry and firm... I am going to try Big Stretch caulking and if I have to install a trim on the facia.. what material do you suggest I make it of? I saw a vinyl 3/8" x 8 inch wide wood grained rigid trim (paintable) material at HD. I don't think the vinyl would have any problems with...

Facia Caulking - tried everything
I have tried everything to caulk the roof peak facia on our house.. If I do it in the fall/winter when humidity is high, there is very little open / crack area to caulk..but when the summer comes and humidity drops, the boards separate and I have to caulk again.. and again.. then winter comes and pu...

Coleman EB15 Blower motor
I have a Coleman EB 15 that sounds like the fan motor is starting to get noisy.. Much louder that when new... I suspect the bushings / bearings in the motor.. Can the blower motor be easily replaced without tearing the entire unit apart? The furnace is is a small closet and the only access is from t...

Replacing Thermostat - Digital
I want to replace the analog thermostat that came with the house when we bought it.. The existing thermostat isn't accurate and once disturbed for whatever reason (small hands)..takes forever to get the temperature to settle out at 70 degrees.. I have tried to find a digital replacement at the local...

RE: DUST, DUST and more DUST.. where is it coming from..
I sincerely appreciate all of the ideas and replys... Besides cleaning the cacrpet, it is all relatively new (within the past 3 years)... The house has all sheetrock walls so paneling is not an option.. The air that feeds the furnace comes from a solenoid valve connected to an exterior roof vent.. t...

We live in an 8 year old mfg home and have been battling excessive interior dust accumulation ever since day one... So far to correct the problem I have done the following things: Checked all windows for leaks, cleaned heating vents and ducting, installed extra filters at each floor duct, cleaned Co...

RE: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall - Please come down
I appreciate the inputs.. The left edge of the mirror is flush against the corner of the room and the bottom of the mirror sits almost on top of the existing tile back splash.. My plan of attack is to remove the back splash and then heat the entire mirror with a heat gun... maybe I can start a wire ...

I live in a mfg home that has a large mirror attached to the wall above the bathroom vanity... I have inspected it and there are no clips or brackets holding it up... I is mounted flush on the wall.. Moving Hot Water Tank
Our current house has the hot water heater/tank in the laundry room and I am concerned that one day it will leak.. I have thought about lifting it up and placing a catch pan under it but have also thought about just moving it outside into another enclosure attached to the outside of the house. Am lo...

Instant Hot Water
As in most mobile homes, one bathroom is located at the far end of the house away from the hot water tank. It seems as though you have to wait forever to get hot water before using it. Is there anyway to have instant hot water at the shower using some sort of pump like I have seen in stick built hom...
