Re: Insulation In walls

Those Lauan 4' x 8' sheets are hard to find home depot/lowes don't carry. Menards has special order but they get you for a $11 extra handling fee with ship to store :(

Re: The cursed electrical outlets!

When replacing a light switch I would use the 2 port ideal wire connector and put the 2 neutral wires inside. I would use the 3 port ideal wire connector and put the 2 ground wires in and make a pig tail to connect nicely to ground on switch. They are way better than wire caps and solid! Sometimes t...

I know water heater needs to be drained but do you blow out lines with compressed air?? Thanks in Advan...

Re: Any ideas how to fix this wood rot on a 2000 Breckenridg

Thanks Commodore it was indeed the lousy flashing that did the bay framing in. I have completely rebuilt it, for sheathing used the dow quarter inch foamboard, with tyvek paper ontop, along with tyvek flashing throughout. For the window sill I used some 9 inch flex tape from menards. Also used killz...

Re: Any ideas how to fix this wood rot on a 2000 Breckenridg

Updated pic underneath the roof cap it was dry no rot or water stains on top only at window sill and below. I am tempted to put one new american craftsman 28x54 series 70 from HD window in center. And leave out the 2 sides and frame up nicely and cover with double dutch lap and reuse roof cap. Id li...

Re: Any ideas how to fix this wood rot on a 2000 Breckenridg

Thanks Greg I did a little more digging today and looks like the windows themselves are leaking. Do you think I can repair these, replacement of seals or do they need to be replaced? Finding it hard to get replacement bay windows locally at menards or home depot. http://i60.tinypic.com/nlxwdz.jpg ht...
