My hot water heater is in my walk-in bedroom closet. The heater has a partition wall next to it but it is in full frontal view. This heater is putting out a hell of a lot of heat. The problem started when I replaced the floor under the heater. The vent tube has no obstructions and is centered on the vent outlet. The only difference is when I reset the heater on the new floor, I centered it, causing the vent tube to be at a slight angle. There is nothing apparent that seems to be causing this problem.

I can't keep my bedroom cool! Does anyone have any advice for this poor, hot, Texas girl?

Hi Angelia,

I would look at the angled flue/vent since that is only change from original.

I'm going to move this over to Repair Forum, since it isn't HVAC related.

Please follow it there.

Thanks,
Robert
