I have an Evcon Heat Pump Model No. BRHS036B and Serial No: 940405857. About a month ago the Condenser fan wouldn't turn on so an HVAC gentleman replaced the Capacitor using a Titan Pro TRCFD455 and the system was working fine. However, now when the Blower motor inside the house comes on I hear the relay open outside (as normal for 48 years) but now I hear a loud HUM from the Condenser and I don't know if it is the Fan Motor going bad or the Capacitor. After the normal delay, the air conditioner comes on and it is blowing cold. Would you gentlemen please help? I'm an old man (76) with 4 bypasses in my heart and I really need to keep this air conditioner (aka Heat Pump) working. I just hope it isn't the compressor. If it is the compressor I hope there is another one for sale I can buy as a replacement. I have an extra FULL tank of R-22.
