RE: Windows - Why & What is Cheaper?

When measuring your windows you want to measure the "Rough Opening" In other words the hole in the wall. Stud to stud & Sill to header. Always give width first then height. Your windows should be 3/8"-1/2" smaller than the rough opening to allow for fit. If you do get windows...

RE: Should we replace?

Wannadance, Miller M3RL Series available in a 80K Btu & 60K Btu. Both rated at 90% As for Coleman I believe they are DGA series. I would have to look up exact model #'s to be certain. Robert may know the model #'s I think they have 90 & 92% models. I'm sure it goes without saying but have yo...

RE: Replacing existing furnace

Sears is gonna be expensive! Find a good reputable Mobile Home Service company in your area or a good HVAC that does alot of mobile home furnaces. Both Miller & Coleman make High Efficiency units that are 90%+ Your M1MB is an 80% unit. The advantage would be to the Miller as it will sit in the s...

"The other end is just fine. The side that isn't working, it's the hot and cold water." If you have good pressure to one side of the home & not the other this would tell me that the blockage (blockages) has to be in the plumbing system after the point of entry to your home. Otherwise ...

Jim, Any future plans of a new roof? If so do that first. You can add a small over hang to include fascia & soffitt. (I believe there is an article on this site about that) Going with that thought of the roof. If you cut the returns at the gable ends back, you could pad out the top 6" of th...

RE: Intertherm M3RL080A

Let me clarify. The inducer orifice is a plastic restricter plate not a gasket. It sets into the bell housing and regulates how much air is mixed with the gas. This is the part that Miller has been having trouble with, and when they go they sometimes completely melt away. The Miller part # is 155315...

RE: Miller Furnance M3RL080A BW

Check the restrictor plate/orifice behind the inducer motor. Should be the size of a silver dollar with a hole in the middle the size of a quarter. (apprx) Nordyne has been having problems with these melting. If this is the case your switch will probably trip. The Nordyne part # for the switch is 62...

RE: Intertherm M3RL080A

That hardened gasket behind the inducer is a resrictor/orifice. It is about the size of a silver dollar and should have a hole in the center about the size of a quarter. You described it as melted? Nordyne is having some problems with these. I believe when these go bad too much air increases the fla...

I am assuming these tanks are 6' long x 24" or 18" wide. Either way your total weight including tank glass & equipment will be well over 100lbs sq/ft. I would follow Yanitas advice. If you decide to place along an outside wall you MUST add blocking so the outriggers arent taking all th...
