Re: Help ASAP! please!

Okay... so we had a tech come out and look at our furnace yesterday. Hopefully it will be covered by our home warranty company. But if it isn't, what kind of money am I looking at to replace the furnace. It is a 89000 brush I believe, our house is 1100 square feet. Am I going to have to replace the ...

Help ASAP! please!

First off I want to say I know its rude to post a title like that and I apologize. Now onto my problem. I turned on my furnace ( Coleman presidential II) tonight and was going to check for a cracked heat exchanger by turning on the blower. Well I didn't even get that far. I started the thing up by l...

flame size

I have a Coleman presidential II model 7680 and I was lighting the pilot and stuff tonight... everything seems to be in working order... came on just fine. But the size of the flame concerned me. It just seemed to me like it was huge, I don't remember what it was like when on last year to compare. I...

Re: infestation problem

I am going to go to one of the local feed stores tomorrow... someone told me they have availability to get stronger chemicals then the ones that you can get from stores like walmart and home depot. I am at a loss as to what to do now... I've tried everything I can think of. I read online about nemat...

applying roof coating

I have been thinking about coating my roof with a white elastomeric coating to reflect the heat and help my cooling bills as the roof I have now is a metal roof that is brown in color. Im sure that it just sucks up the heat. I already bought black jack roof coating from lowes. It says on the bucket ...

Re: ac runs non stop

So I did some more investigating today. There is a fairly large air leak coming from pretty much directly under the ac unit. It is on the top of the ductwork. In other words it is leaking between the ductwork and the subfloor of the house. I don't know how I can get to it to fix it as I cannot acces...

Re: ac runs non stop

No I do not know anyone that has one. Since the problem only involves half the house , would it be isolated somewhere around the ac unit? Or could it be anywhere along the ductwork?

Re: ac runs non stop

I have tried completely closing the vents off on the whole cool side of the house and the airflow on the other side doesn't seem to change at all. I have stuck a flashlight in each vent and taken my cell phone and recorded a video pointing towards the vent the flashlight is in and cannot see any blo...

Re: sill plate/board

Thank you Greg. But what can I do about that sill board. Can I just cut the damaged area out and nail a new board up? Or do I have to get someone to come do it for me. Or just leave it and cover it up and hope more rot doesn't happen?

Re: ac runs non stop

Okay. Well ill still clean the outdoor unit. It can't hurt anyway. I know the insulation is not too great underneath the unit. Id like to get under there and add more insulation. Should I think about doing that or just insulate the skirting? I have checked everywhere I can see and cannot find any le...
