Repo mobile home---air conditioner covered in ivy..
I just purchased a mobile home that was repoed. The air conditioner unit is almost completely covered in ivy. Will the roots of the ivy ruin the unit?
Thanks in advance!

Plastic under mobile home?
Do you put plastic under your mobile homes for a vapor barrier? I live in central NC and I am in the process of moving a mobile home. Also, can you put it down and let the mover drive over it or will they just tear it to pieces when the set it up? I just thought it might be easier to install since y...

Thermal Zones...
I am looking at purchasing a double wide with a thermal zone 1 rating. According to the HUD map, I need a thermal zone 2 since I am located near Greensboro, NC. If I purchase this home, can I make the necessary improvements to get it to a thermal zone 2 rating? What exactly is the difference?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'd have to check with the home loan lender in my office to be 100% sure. I'm a commercial loan officer, so I don't handle these types of loans any longer. So much has changed in the last 12 months, I'm afraid I might mislead you. The last thing I heard was we could still go 30 years on NEW manufact...

RE: On-Frame Modular Homes
I am a loan officer at a bank. For the difference in price of an on frame vs. an off-frame modular, get a off-frame modular. However, I have financed homes for Palm Harbor and do not trust them! They will sell unexpecting home owners and on-frame and try to pass it as an off frame. If your lender an...

Location of hot water heater in a 1998 Oakwood double wide
As crazy as this sounds, I can't find the hot water heater in this repoed home I just bought. While I realize the hot water heater was probably stolen out of it, I figured I could at lease find the hook ups for the hot water heater. Any suggestions of where to look or how to find the hook ups? Thanks!
