Want to remove propane furnace and install electric furnace

I want to remove my gas furnace and install an electric furnace. Does the roof jack (correct name for the vent on the roof that connects to the furnace below?) basically pull off of a stub that sticks out of the top of the gas furnace, after I undo whatever is anchoring the roof jack to the roof and after undoing whatever might be fastening the roof jack duct to the stub at the top of the furnace (if there is a stub?).
What would be the recommended method to cover the hole in the roof after removing the roof jack? Sheet metal and Silicone caulking? My trailer is a 34-year old 14 x 70 with the typical, slightly rounded shape, metal roof.
