A-coil help needed

we have a destiny/oakwood double wide built in 2000., now 10 years old. It has a split system heat pump. ok, The a-coil that sits on top of the furnace needs to be replaced and all the stickers and info is gone from the rusty a-coil, so i have no idea what brand it was or what size orifice it used or anything. The furnace is a nordyne/intertherm and the outside unit is a goodman 3-ton unit. as far as all the mobile home specific a-coils ive looked at, it resembles a nordyne/intertherm the most. anyone know what brand a-coil this most likely would be in this mobile home? Do mobile home companys normally use the same brand a-coil as the furnace or the outside unit? as far as ive seen. goodman doesnt have an a-coil that looks even close to what i have. Mine has the connections and drain on the left hand side wich im guessing is mobile home specific? Just wanting to get the right replacement a-coil with the right orifice. Everyone says just get the info from the original a-coil but thats a mystery, all info is gone from it.

Hi,

Would need to know size in tons of the a/c system. The ones we have are TXV a-coils, they do not have fixed metering/orifices.

Thanks,
Robert

Robert,
The size of the heatpump is 3 ton, made by goodman, model cpke36-1a, the furnace is an intertherm/nordyne, do you know if it is normal practice for mobile home companys to use the matching name brand a-coil to the outside unit or do they usually use the matching brand a-coil to the furnace?

Hi,

When first installed, it is matched with outdoor condensing unit.

Later on, it may be replaced by same or a compatible coil.

Usually the a-coil is a half ton larger than the condensing unit for a heat pump.

What is your furnace model number ?

Thanks,
Robert
