The home I purchased has subfloor damaged by water coming in at the windows. I have to replace lower outside 1/2 board and sub-flooring. The question I have is the 3/4 board goes under the framing on the sides of the outside walls. I cut the flooring out and than saw the staples to remove the rotted board? But since it is under weight from the roof I need to use either 2x4 or 2x6 to place under the outside wall and mount to the main beams which are not rotted thank god. to secure the weight...Than I add ascrew trim edge along the beam to srew the 3/4 sub floor is this correct......Thanks....

Some here go through the grief & aggravation of removing ALL if the rotted Partical board and get the new plywood between the base plate of joists & rim joist, others sister a 2x to the rim joist to support the edge of the new subfloor.

I guess it's one of those calls you have to make.
