I have an Intertherm 5 ton model no. P3RD-060K that uses a variable speed blower, when i turn on the unit, everything runs like it should except the blower never turns on. when i switch it to fan only i hear a loud click inside the unit coming from the load relay. this problem first started when it got real cold this last month and i turned on the ac heat and immediately turned it off when i heard a "loud heater coil hum', couple days later it got warm so i turned on the unit to cool and i couldnt feel anything come out of the vents.

thought it coulda been the relay so i replaced it and it still clicks. Also, i have completely disconnected the heating coils cause in Florida there aint much use for heaters :)

Any ideas?

Check the blower time delay relay in controls panel. However, it should be ok IF the contactor coil is energized and contacts are making on contactor.

Try spinning the blower wheel and see if motor takes off.

May be a bad run capacitor or could be the motor itself or a loose wire.
