Since this is "off topic" I'm posting here. I have a gas water heater that has just started making some interesting noises. First it was some hissing sounds - so I released pressure from the tank hoping that would fix the issue, however, now it has some squel / beeping noise that happens sporadically.
any idea of what this is?
Thanks,
Ron
Gas Water Heater Question
I would check the water temperature, It could the thermostat is stuck and over heating. If the unit is over 10 years old, if may not be worth messing with. Greg

+1 on what greg said. It may be a valve that vibrates when the water expands and contracts, or a hard water build up. Does it only happen when water is running?
