I have a 28x80 Mobile home with a 4 ton "Amana" air conditioner,
the house cannot get below 80 degrees and runs all day. We have replaced the supply and the return ducts and they both are in perfect working order, the air coming out of the vents are cold but not " gushing " out.

What can I do?

What is the return air and the supply air closest to furnace temp readings ?


A lot of variables to know what is causing that without being there.

the reading is about 17 degrees.

Get an hvac tech to come out and check system.



Is the airflow equal in velocity at each register ?



Are temps ok, just not enough airflow ?

I have had someone come out and he said that we need a 5 ton for our house but we should be getting better airflow with this unit.

the airflow changes on all the vents, some put out good and some not enough.

the temp is good not enough airflow, I just recently went under and made sure there wasnt any collapsed ducts. everything seems to be in working order underneath( no leaks or holes ).

Get a qualified and reputable hvac tech to inspect system. IF ducts are ok and correct size and blower is correct with correct cfm , all should be ok.


Who redid all the ducts ?


Without being there, not much I can do from here.


Something though is not correct somewhere.

The guy that came out is a qualified hvac tech.

My brother and I replaced the ducts ourselves, everything is on correctly, the way it should be and the ducts are not collapsed.

Everything is looks good, But, something is wrong somewhere.

A friend of ours said it could be the blower controller, I switched the blower to low,medium and hi and there was no noticable difference in pressure. is there something that needs to be replaced?

The a/c runs blower in high speed only. As previously stated, get a licensed/qualified hvac tech out to resolve the issue.


IF the problem is still there, the first hvac tech was not qualified.
