Polybutylene Water Lines/RV ?

Hi...I know this is a MH forum, but I don't know where else to find the help I need.

I used my "new-to-me" 1993' RV for the first time this past weekend.

The kitchen sink facet was leaking, went to Camper World and they told me to go to a local hardware store to buy a new facet.

So..I did that today. When I disconnected the cold water hose from the facet (under the sink) i saw that the little rubber washer was broken.

I went ALL OVER town trying to find a similar washer...none to be found!

The hose that is being used states "Potable Tubing 1/2" CTSx 5/8 O.D.

The rubber washer is sorta funky...it's kinda of O ring with a sleeve
under the ring. Kinda.

Any ideas on where I can find this washer? HELP!! THANKS!!

Raven

Hi Raven,

Do you still happen to have the old washer?

If so, post a pic then maybe someone here can find what you need or something that will work in place of it. Take a pic of under the sink as well.

Don't lose hope yet, LOL.

Hi Raven,

Try here to see if they have what you need:

May be best going with new set up and using Pex or flex connector lines.

Robert --
I am inthe process of selling my motor home. We were fulltime for the past 10 years. Converting your water lines to PEX could be a DIY project, but the crimping tool kit is expensive. You could also pay a shop to convert lines as you need them. There are some RV supply places that carry the washer you are looking for. United RV in Ft. Worth, TX is one we used a lot. Also check manufactured home supply places some will have the parts. If you are ever through southern Missouri along I-44 stop at COLAW RV in Carthage. It is the best RV wrecking yard I found, and the have lots of stuff.
Good luck. Safe travels. PM me if you need more info.

The pocket pex crimper works with 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" .

You'll need the go/nogo gauge also.

$63.15 including shipping for both.
