Working on the shower STILL.
Only unlevel at one end of the pan and only about 1/8" and 10" wide.
I watched a video where they "Plopped" some "Globs" in a couple of spots and then gently laid the pan down into the "Goo".
Has anyone used "Thinset or Dryset and how did it work out?

Are you building the shower/pan, or is this a premade unit?

It's pre-made. Sterling 48"

I'm having to build out the stud wall to get around some plumbing drains for the washer.
I need the practice cause it's been years since I did this.
I WAS FRAMED.LOL

Page 17 on the installation instructions seem to address this directly with either receptor (pan) pad shimming, or a mortar bed like you may have seen done in the video. 1/8" is minimal.

Upon close inspection, the area that needs a little shimming is
8" by 24" under one end. It is gust about 1/8" low so I bought a piece of luan 1/8" thick. If that works out it will save me a lot of GOOY WORK.
Doing this shower is ALMOST as much fun as an ANTHRAX infection. WOOF![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

I ended up getting a piece of 3/4" plywood and leveled it out with shims.
I drilled a 4 1/2" hole through both floor thicknesses. The hole is about 1/8" off center from where I wanted it so I'll have to cut it a little bit so the pan ends up flush with the studs.
Now, if the plumber ever shows up to re-rout the water and drain lines I'll be half way there.
