I have a coleman model dgaa0708dta one year
ago a furnace repair replaced the blower motor
and squirrel cage.when i change the filters,i have
to force the top panel in to get it in.the cage is sticking out
past the frame of furnace.i do not see where you can
move it back for clearance.i had to order a new panel
it broke off at the top of panel.are ther different plates
that the motor is attached to so i can get more clearance
to get panel on without force.there is room at back of furnace.
Thanks for any help,Edward

Hi,

The motor and squirrel cage are mounted inside a metal blower housing.

http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/article ... lower.html

That housing slides into the furnace all the way in leaving plenty of room to get the door panels on and off.

Can you take a pic, you may have the wrong blower housing or it isn't installed correctly.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Edward,

Ok. Look closely down each side of the blower housing. On each side at the bottom, the housing has an L shape flange that runs length of housing.

The bottom of that L slides underneath 2 - 3 seperate lips about 4" long per lip.

Shine a bright light down each side and see if it is slid all the way in under ALL lips.

If not, look for any screws down the flange and remove to enable it to be slid further inward.

IF it is slid all the way in and still protrudes out past furnace edge, it is the wrong housing.

Look closely because they hang up often and you will think it is in all the way and it won't be.

Try to take pics of those side flanges/lips also while shining the light in there.

When you get the pics, email them to me at [email protected] .

That way, I'll get them all at once.

Thanks,
Robert
