Repairing loose crossover duct

I had an issue of heat not blowing to one side of the home, and come to find BOTH sides of the crossover duct are completely off of the house!

Anyways, my brother went under there to rig it up a little, but is wondering what is the best way to reconnect the ends to the ducts of the house? We thought of the metal circular clamps that you can tighten, but he doesn't think it will hold. I have tried researching online, but haven't really come up with a specific technique. The crossover duct itself is still in good shape.

Thanks!

Hi,

Two correct sized hard metal 90* elbows and attach to collar connector with sheetmetal screws and foil backed tape.

Then stretch flex duct taught between the two ells.

Thanks,
Robert
