Heavily beat up DW, remodeled and reconfigured and rented. Opened up the exterior wall in the dining area and put in a *used *, reclaimed French door (only one of my many mistakes... If I knew then what I know now) that has been leaking. In 2 days I plan to pull it out, repair framing as necessary, and put in a new slider, off the Lowe's shelf.
Any feedback on whether I should use a new French door instead? Comments encouraged...

6 of one, half dozen of the other. It depends on your preference. Down the road many sliders develop roller problems so that may be a factor. Quality french doors are usually trouble free for many years, but get expensive.
