Posted 'wall options' and got sheetrock, 1/8.
Anyone else? I'd rather have those original panels- very lightweight...but can't find where to buy them.

Now I'm looking at ceilings- I would rather opt for the ultra/air/lightweight panels that originally came with home- so lightweight. But don't know where to find them. Anyone know?

What are other options? Not much into squares all over. Have seen pics of corrugated metal sheets to give it an industrial feel- neat idea.

Anyone else have any options for ceiling? This is a 11x60 single wide.

I've been pondering the same thing. I just got to thinking that maybe luann would work. But what about the seams?

Watch the video.These panels should work great for DIY,but they may get spendy.

Idea- not sure how this would work....

The big box home improvment stores have those 4x8 panels of hard/stiff insulation. I've seen them pink, white, black, and silver-chrome looking.

If all else fails and I just can't find a lightweight ceiling panel..... would this work? For the seams, I'd coffer it with some triming/moldings.
I've even seen the 'textured' wallpaper- could that cover the panels? Or prime/paint?

And if this idea isn't too crazy, would I need a vapor barrier?

I had a look at this and got a quote on supplies.Almost $3000 to do the entire ceiling in my 12x60.I think I'll re-enforce the ceiling rafters an do sheet rock.I'm told there is a light weight 5/8 inch sheet rock that is used for ceilings.I'll check into it.

For ceilings you could drop down to 3/8" and save weight.

3/8" would work but I would put cross boards made from 1x2 going across the ceiling rafters on 16" centers to stiffen up the thinner drywall.

It would be mandatory.

The Okalux ceiling panels from Canada are no longer available in my area. You may find them in other regions, but marketing and distribution has been a problem for them. I would reinforce trusses and use 1/2" gypboard and texture.
