Window cable

Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me.
I have windows that slide up and down on a cable, and well one of them is very hard to open now. Can I grease that metal cable with something to make it easier to slide up and down? The windows can open inward, and then I see the cable. I'm not very mechanical so hoping this is going to be simple, although next I want to replace some door trim. :D

Thanks,
Cheryl

Any chance it is a Kinro window?

Yes it is a Kinro window! I had no idea..I found the brand name on the top of the window although not easy to see really.
So I went to their web site and they say it's an easy lift rail, I think. lol

Now maybe I can also get a replacement for the broken bathroom window, now that I know who made them.

Keep their site handy. I have recently had a customer need new latches, the ones that allow the lower sash to fold out. Apparently they are breaking down from UV rays and disintegrating. Every window on the east side of her home needs them replaced. Just got the order in and will install this week.
