Hi All,

I'm looking a 2011 DW that was struck by lightening. (Nice house.) I'm going to call in a professional electrician. To protect the integrety of the project what are the questions I need to ask? I figure AC/heating could be fried, cook top, water heater, ovens, dishwasher. Does the wiring throughout the house get "fried"? as in having to open the walls, roof to run new? How does one tell about this?

Oh, did I tell you we had a new roof put on? When the crew came to take the old one off......it was only the plywood and shingles.....no felt. It's really made a BIG differance in the cooling/heating.

I would doubt that the actual wiring was damaged, however I have heard of some of the outlets & switches getting fried. Anything electrical was at risk so it should be checked, But I'm sure the electrician will do a complete check.
