Yup, got all those updates. Well the truth be known Hubby just got home from filling up all gas cans...fired the generator up to make sure all is well with that.

Was watching the Gustav updates and of couse they made sure to let us know that gas prices are going to take a sharp increase in the next few days if not sooner. Thought it wise to get what I can now before Hannaa gets to close.

Sure hope all Gulf Coast residents do as asked with the evac orders...did hear where alot refuse to leave, they are going to ride it out..guess some people never learn.

As this week progresses I will be watching Hanna, and preparing accordingly.

How much is regular fuel going for up in your neck of the woods? We spiked up a dime, since last Thursday, but i anticipated that being a holiday weekend. $3.28 to 3.38. I noticed it's usually 30 cents more from Asheville over to Charlotte, Friday up there was $3.60ish

I'm in Brevard and today its 3.69 up from a low of 3.54 last week, Looks like its going back over 4.00 with the hurricanes. Just when it seems like we might get some relief, here it goes again.

Nice. I fueled up there @ Ingles last Wednesday, think it was around 3.58 or a tad below.
Be up there again in the Blue Bell truck (diesel) Tuesday.

Latest on Hannah, veers it towards just south of Savannah.

Wow, update on Hannah. Put's her RIGHT over my house Saturday at 2am. Thankfully, will be minimal winds, maybe just up to 5 inches or so.

Gas prices, sorry can't answer that, long ago stopped paying attention to it. Since my Hubby's truck, el ranchero and 3 mottorcycles and my Monte do not run on water it's an on going expense.

We did fill up everything and I mean everything..all vehicles including the motorcycles, lawn tractor and generator, all gas cans then got refilled! All said and done 186.00.

Have taken some time to go through my checklist and revisit my emergency first aide kit...anything expired???

Will spend some time today hopefully getting plants brought in and making room in the garage for all the deck furniture. We might not need to do everything but if the storm shifts slightly more northward we will get hit.

Of course we are going to get storm surges. I am just in from the Pamilco sound. Oh well will go through the motions and wait!

Interesting update on the GFDL Model Run....cat 4 just at landfall. Fluctuates quite a bit between now and friday, from cat 1 to 4.

Hi,

At this time I am just methodically doing what I can before this storm or another if any strikes this area. At this time I just looked at your links and compared them to the national weather service.
Then I watch another weather program...seems that Hanna could/will/might make landfall between Florida/Georgia, Georgia/SC., or SC/NC.

Will wait and see where it is going and then make final decisions. Seems there is yet another storm soon to be on the heels of Hanna.

Rickd is in South Mississippi . He was along the coast and is now about 5 to 10 miles more inland I believe.


tnt17, my younger brother is an electrician with Clemson University and was on a building roof when it came over Death Valley and Littlejohn Coliseum.

It uprooted some trees and damaged some vehicles and a few houses, but dispersed about as fast it came.

Tornadoes, ahhhhhhh, seems they are always knocking at my door. It's soon to be duck and pray time again here in tornado alley.

Charleston noon Friday looks to be the landfall target. My initial guess of Hilton Head still could be it as well though. North and east side of the storm will drown most of the Carolina's piedmont as she moves north.

Not just the Peidmont area...our coastline is going to get hammered up real well and then comes the surge...also all that water that the peidmont area fets....comes our way!

Our local stations are having warnings and lists, evac info in case you want out...everything is falling into place...including the wait!

Did get all the outside done today, well almost..still got to find places for all these plants.
