it's highly unlikely that you'll get a like-new look. I have had some luck using suspended ceiling panels and caulking to repair small areas like this. Also, you could use a small piece of sheetrock and heavily texturing with spray can texture before you install it

Someone on here told me to use the white tape & as you can see I used black gas pipe moisture proof strips of tape. Where's my head at, Duh!
If I can get some white tape that is wide enough without cutting it in narrow strips to cover the holes that would be great.
The mold in the upper ceiling might be dead already anyway & not a harm to us.
I hate trying to pull it down a bit & break the whole panel & the center strip. :(
