Hey Troyster,

Good to hear from you again! All is fine here in NC. Spending this week getting in houseplants that have lived outside all summer. Oh man some have grown so big...having a hard time finding places for them.

Getting ready for winter, LOL, not that we have much of one compared to some of you...the saddest winter prep I go thru is closing down the pool. That will probably happen this weekend!

Glad to hear all is well with you. Mining camp? What's that about, mining in the true sense of the word?

Glad to hear from you...

Yanita

Hey Troyster!

Great to see you again! Hang in there, my 'honey do list' gets longer every day! My hubby is going through sort of a new awakening since the boys joined the Army. He's used to coming home from work and delegating chores to the boys. Well, since Winter is coming up and there is a lot to do, he's sort of freaking out a little bit LOL!

We got hit with an late Summer snow storm yesterday, and I thought he was going to go nuts! Yep, I was running around trying to get the plants in. Yanita, I just left the monster plants outside. I have no time to trim them back and find a new home for them. All had babies, or shoots this Summer. I transplanted them. The others are headed for the compost pile right now!

Of course, this storm was a good month and a half early! I was busy getting the furnace ready, veggies covered, starting the boys cars, etc, etc! Ya go with the 'priority list'.

The storm really put a damper on the first day of Street Vibrations, our bike rally here in Reno! They interviewed a couple bikers on top of Mount Rose today on the news. They were wrapped up in Vortex, wool and leathers. The female reporter asked them if this is what they expected, Not verbatim, but they basically mentioned wanting to see hot babes in bikinis at Tahoe LOL!

Hang in there Troyster! Praying there are no lay offs in Nov for you!

Hi Maureen! wowsers snow in late summer-ouch. man its been getting colder here too. kind of feels cold for this time of the year, but sounds like its happening all over in places. got the fall notice to plug in heat tapes and drain outside water lines etc. bear around park here for last week hitting garbage cans. our garbage can was flattened by the bugger. but good news is last gas bill was only 35 bucks. been watching gas bill closely since April and it is coming in about half of what it was last year. seems like all that work i did on our home since April is paying off big time. no more drafts and big heat bills. will be installing new insulated steel back door before winter and that will help too compared to the old flimsy "trailer" door. sounds like your hubby will be a one man show this year when it comes to the "list". man i know how that feels. lol sound like you & Yanita will be busy for awhile. good luck on the winterizing. P.S. my wife Cheryl will finally be getting her tub refinished from avocado green to white tomorrow morning.
