Hi Folks!

My gosh, where did the Summer go? Yep, it's Labor day weekend down here in the states! Yippeeeee... 3 whole days off, if you aren't in the wedding or casino business LOL! Warren now has Friday and Saturdays off...almost unheard of in the casino business, but he's helping with weddings. He had some sort of vision about watching football on Saturdays...... I'm wishing him lots of luck! We have weddings all 3 days LOL!

Our youngest boys are almost down to the wire! They ship out to boot camp in 11 days! They are taking off to Disneyland for 5 days on Sunday. In between we are having fun with the rib cook off this weekend! Yummy! The best ribs from all around the world have hit our area! It's like heaven on earth with music, fantastic food and a huge street fair. Very cool!

Warren and I are trying to decide whether to BBQ steaks at home, or go back down to the rib cook off for dinner Sunday night. It's a hard decision!

Folks, have tons of fun, but be smart and stay safe!

Enjoy your weekend too. Sounds like you have a fun one lined up! As for us, we are going to the drag races today. Missed a lot due to the knee, but we are going to attempt 1 day that includes the night of fire. Hope I can make it through. Back to work on tuesday, they are letting me go back for 2 hrs a day, 3 days a week. I am glad because I am so bored, lol

Heck, I wish I was at Maureens this weekend! mmmm rib cook-off. I got a piddle around the house weekend so there will be some NFL!

Jim, take it easy buddy. Don't push that knee too much. But I bet it will feel good to start getting back into the swing of things.

Happy Labor Day weekend!

Hey Everyone,

Well the weekend has begun. Las night was early to bed and this AM as early to rise. Girlfriend time, a bunch of us went out to breakfast and then hi some yardsales!

The rest of today has been spent (aching back now) doing yard work that was not done while we were on vaca, and then this past week from me being sick.

Shortly it is off to get something to eat and groceries for tomorrows festivities. Family and freinds, spur of the moment get together, ought to be fun!

Latter on this evening is the local town "Collards Festival. Will probably go there for awhile on the Harley and then come home and call it a good day!

Everyone be safe and enjoy your long weekend if you are getting one!

No rest for the weary around here either this labor day. Always projects to get done before that 4-letter word sets in (cold). One of these years I'll actually treat labor day as a holiday and go do something fun.
