My last question received no replies :(
hopefully someone knows something about door knobs.
This is the reason I hate mobile homes.

Sooooooooo, I have french doors in the living room. The door knob just fell off on one of the doors and so I didn't look at it, when I wish I would have now.
But one side of the french doors has the strike plate and that is the one I'm replacing.
For one, I can't get the latch in through the latch plate, so I have no clue what I'm doing. I know a door knob is supposed to go there. But the other door knob has to have something to latch into as well.

I would post an image but it would not let me saying it was too large but not telling me how large it wanted.

Can you post a few pictures? Many have a traditional latch on one side and a top & bottom slide pins on the other door. Maybe Ron can help some.

Thanks Greg. I figured it out, I simply had to leave out the latch. When I first tried it, I couldn't get it snug enough against the door but with a bit of fidgeting the two sides went flush against the door.
