we are buying a 2002 liberty. SW 16x64
does anyone know if there is a beam running down the middle of the ceiling? it is vaulted.
if not we want to run a support beam up there for my son's swing (he's disabled)

I would doubt there is an actual beam down the middle. There may be a 1x4 or 1x6 tying the trusses together but it would not be a support beam.
I think I would build a removable support for the swing. He will not be using it forever, so you could remove it after he outgrows it without repairs to the home.

There's only one way to answer this question. Guess it's time to cut a hole in the ceiling and see what's going on. There "could" possibly be one, but I would not bank on it.
