I'm sure this is somewhere - but cannot find it, so I'll do this the easy way.

To the left of each thread there is a little circle with lines in it. I have figured out that if it is red, then there are posts I haven't read. But some have a little star inside, and some show the lines scrolling . . . what does that stuff mean? Better yet, where on the forum can I find out this stuff?

If I put a trench of pea gravel, will the lines stop scrolling?

<edit> ok, I just did a test - looks like the little star indicates a thread that I have added a post.

The little star inside the circle means you've personally replied to the post.
As for the scrolling lines...I haven't figured that one out, either.

As a Mod. any unread show a red circle after they have been read they show blue. Not sure if your's do that or if it is just a Moderator thing.

I think I got it! The scrolling means that the thread has multiple pages!
