I got this trap because it is all enclosed, so my 8 month old should be safe from it.
The Ortho Kill and Contain Mouse traps get it half right....
The mouse will be contained, but not killed. No wonder the directions say dispose of the trap after use (kind of a pricy proposition for a $10 2 pack), because the mouse doesn't get killed! It just sits inside crapping and pissing all over itself and the trap while it tries to chew its way out! I'm no fan of mice by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd prefer a nice clean kill vs. a prolonged death by dehydration, or worse yet, a chew to freedom! I've caught 2 different mice with 2 different traps. With both I had to get the mouse out (once by just releasing the trap and shaking it, the other I had to force out with a little stick), then beat the mouse to death with a piece of fire wood!
