Just picked up an Aquaglass 30 x 54 tub at Lowes for about $200.00. seems pretty sturdy compared to the ABS POS I took out.

The installation instructions say to go to their website for the proper "Alcove installation instructions" However, Their website is down...

Looking around on the net, other manufacturers recommend setting the tub in a plaster or mortar base. (Sounds good to me), and a few people have even used drywall joint compound.

Can anybody point me to a link to the installation insructions for an Aquaglass Model #345430A?

or should I just go with my gut feeling and put down a plaster, mortar or joint compound base?
Which would be better?

Thanks

Try doing a Google search for "Installing a bath tub". Greg
