Hi everyone!

I am still trying to get used to the new site but I love it!
I wonder if anyone knows where to obtain avatars?

Thanks to everyone here for such a warm welcome.

Hi Tim,

What king of avatar are you looking for? You can make one from any digital photo, jpg or gif file. You can find animated gifs that are within the size requirement of 100x100 pixels and use that.

Hi JD,

I have some great pics but they are all too big. How do you resize them?

Thanks,

Tim

That would depend on what graphics software you have. If you have a PC, there is minimal tools with Paint. Click Image the Skew/Stretch and you can enter percentages that you want width & height changed to. Not good for a 640x480 reducing to 100x100.

You can email me any pic and I will photoshop it for you. You are not limited to whole pictures. Tell me just the face, the license plate, or whatever. I can maximize colors and clarity for the avatar size. Whatever you want.

Hey Yanita, I had to find a file small enough to load as an avatar. I tried to do a pic of myself, but couldn't get the pixel size small enough. There are sites that you can get them certain sizes. My kids chose Crazy Frog for me. I don't think I'm that strange, but until I can figure it out that will do.

Hi Kashton,

You can look in the Website Question Forum, might find some helpful info in there about posting some pics. LOL, I am the wrong person to ask about pics, hence the reason I do not have an album or avatar up yet. LOL, that was one thing I liked about the old forum, the program did an automatic resize for us.

I think it was JD that offered to resize pics if someone needed help. Manitoba Bill and several others can offer great info on how to do this. Just post a personal message or to one of the forums, dirrectly to them, or you can email Mark and he can help.

Have a great day!
