startup/shutdown unacceptable loud noise-help!

At start-up of the furnace blower there is a loud thud/bang

Hi, Other than what you've covered, can't say without being there. I can say nothing should be that loud though, so since it is in warranty, stay after them to show you what it is.


Also, would be sure to have them reinstall blend air box and connect.


That can void warranty on home and void insurance claims.


If it came with home and unit, should be hooked up and working.

Don't know about the model you have or your set up, but my the unit in my MH home also makes a loud pop/thud when it starts up and shuts off. Upon futher investigation tho, I found out that it was just the ductwork that was popping/thudding, when the blower fan came on the air flow through the flimsy thin sheet metal was the noise maker. Something I just have to deal with.
