We just got a letter from SCE yesterday that says the govanator signed a bill that requires them to pay us for any excess electricity we produce and put back into they system at the same rate they charge consumers. 
Prior to this SCE would just credit your bill, but the excess production was gratis to them.
It's a win win for us. Lower elect bills and a little cash at the end of the year
