We heat our single-wide with wood but use propane for hot water and cooking. A 100lb. tank of propane costs $88.20 delivered and lasts us about 6 weeks. I cannot afford to get a big tank brought in and am wondering if we switched to electric hot water heater and electric stove, if it would actually be cheaper in the long run. I figured the average amount we spend for propane is probably around $65.00 per month. Any ideas?

Where I live (WV) electric is much cheaper. Bottled gas is always high. It might depend on where you live though. Ask around to see what other people are spending on electric. I spend , ballpark, the same on electric for my single wide as I did on my old two bedroom apt.
