I used the blue painter's tape to cover the fake wood beams in my 1990 Golden West when I painted the living room....(it has a vaulted ceiling). When I started removing the blue tape the paper covering on the fake beams peeled off, too. What to do? I stopped taking the tape off and am wondering if using a hairdryer to heat the tape up will keep the rest from doing this...and what can I do to fix where the paper tore....the "beam" is probably about 3-4 inches wide and if I paint it - not only will I have to do the whole room but it won't look like "wood" anymore!

you could try water on a rag, not dripping wet but moist, let it soak the tape area.or the hair dryer can owrk you just need to soften the tape glue
