I have a 1995 doublewide Fleetwood Carriage Hill that I purchased new. It has vaulted popcorn ceilings throughout.

How do I remove this stuff? If the home was manufactured in 1995, does the popcorn texture contain asbestos?

The popcorn is basically joint compound, You could try just a putty knife dry or use a spray bottle of water , lightly spray and it will soften it up. No matter how you do it get ready for a mess! Greg

Just a suggestion...ducktape a scraper to the hose tube on a shop vac and scrape away....the shop vac will pick up a lot of the dust and debris as you scrape...good luck
