I just signed up to be an Avon Representative. It's been awhile since I've seen one of the brochures, and I'm really impressed with all the neat stuff they have now. Not just makeup and bath oil any more! LOL There are fashions, shoes, purses, jewelry, kids' stuff, men's gifts........ And online ordering as well as via personal communication.

Would it be against the rules here to post my eRep site where people can place orders from and have merchandise mailed directly to them??

If it's okay, can I put it on my profile page?? Can I post it here in the Off Topic section??

I am new at the moderator stuff, but I think your profile is a good place to put up your avon link. You could even write in a blurb pitching your avon business. As for posting a link here in OT. I am not sure if there is a rule on that or not.

The real problem that all websites that allow posting has are spammers. People who use the website for the sole purpose of inserting links. I am sure that there are certain links that are not allowed, such as pornography, pharmaceutical, and other chronic offenders.

Let's see what the other moderators have to say about this.

I agree with JD, as long as it is in your profile and not directly on the site.
Spam is one thing that we will not allow, the offending party is deleted & blocked.
